Gawth

  Ron Gawthorp is a freelance writer now living in western Virginia.  A journalist by training, he became a freelance writer while working at various energy and newspaper jobs.  Now in retirement, he continues to write about things that interest him.   He published his first novel Richer Than The Rockefellers in 2002.

  "The best thing about getting older is looking back," he says.  "It has been an amazing journey and I have made a lot of friends.  I really miss the discussions with the older generations but I am looking forward to passing the knowledge and memories from them to a younger world.  I am sorry today's children have to endure so much.  I wish we had made a better world for young people."

   Gawthorp served in the U.S. Army.  He spent many years in Southeastern Illinois and lived 22 years in West Virginia.
